Ali 'Imran · Al-Ma'idah

Both describe the Quran as 'musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi' but 5:48 adds 'wa muhaymina 'alayhi' (a guardian over it) which is absent in 3:3.

Al-Ma'idah · An-Nahl

Both share the core prohibition list (dead animals, blood, swine, what is dedicated to other than Allah); see also 2:173/16:115 (batch 4) and 6:145/16:115 (batch 7) -- 5:3 is the most expansive version adding strangled, beaten, fallen animals, 16:115 is the standard shorter form.

Al-Ma'idah · Al-Ma'idah

Near-identical refutation within the same surah: 'those who say Allah is the Messiah son of Mary have certainly disbelieved'; 5:17 is the broader refutation, 5:72 is specifically the response to the Christian position on Jesus.

Al-Baqarah · Al-Ma'idah

2:40 'ya bani Isra'il udhkuru ni'mati allati an'amtu 'alaykum' and 5:20 'ya qawmi udhkuru ni'mat Allah 'alaykum' both begin with the reminder of Allah's favor — the Baqarah address is to Bani Isra'il while Al-Ma'idah quotes Musa addressing his people.

An-Nisa · Al-Ma'idah

Both contain the tayammum clause for travelers, the ill, or the ritually impure; 4:43 is the earlier, shorter mention tied to prayer while impure, 5:6 is the full wudu + tayammum passage.

Ali 'Imran · Al-Ma'idah

Both list the miracles of Isa in nearly identical language but 3:49 uses 'fihi' (masculine pronoun for the bird) while 5:110 uses 'fiha' (feminine).

An-Nisa · Al-Ma'idah

Both share the call: 'when it is said to them, come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger'; 4:61 is the hypocrites who turn away when called to Allah's judgment, 5:104 is the pagans who cling to their forefathers' ways.

Al-Baqarah · Al-Ma'idah

Both list the four groups — believers, Jews, Christians, and Sabians — in an identical promise formula but 2:62 uses 'wa al-sabi'ina' while 5:69 shifts to 'wa al-sabi'una', a grammatical case change alongside the same sequence.

Al-Ma'idah · Al-Ma'idah

Verbatim within Al-Ma'idah: 'it will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief, what has been revealed to you from your Lord'; 5:64 follows the Jews' claim that Allah's hand is fettered, 5:68 follows the assertion that the People of the Book have no foundation without their scriptures.

Ali 'Imran · Al-Ma'idah

Both use 'kadhalika yubayyinu Allahu lakum ayatihi' but 3:103 ends with 'tahtadun' (be guided) and 5:89 ends with 'tashkurun' (be grateful).

Al-Ma'idah · Al-Bayyinah

Both share 'gardens with rivers flowing, abiding forever; Allah is pleased with them and they with Him'; 5:119 is the statement of the truthful (Isa affirming), 98:8 is the reward for believers from the People of the Book.

An-Nisa · Al-Ma'idah

Both command standing firmly for justice as witnesses for Allah, but 4:135 says 'qawwamina bi al-qist shuhada'a lillah' while 5:8 reverses to 'qawwamina lillahi shuhada'a bi al-qist'.
